Philosophy
Keith Mispagel

In choosing education as a career, I set personal goals for myself and for the district in which I am employed. I enjoy my job and believe students should enjoy coming to school. We have the best profession in the world...we have daily opportunities to make a positive impact on each student in our district. I believe in maximizing the potential of all students by instilling values of high self-esteem and hard work. I challenge myself each day to do the best I can for the good of the district, and challenge each member of the district, including staff and students, to always give their best effort. Working together with parents, students, and faculty, we strive for excellence in education for our students. School and learning are fun...here's to a great year!

Family

I believe the key to my success is the support of my wife, Dione. She is the perfect person to keep me in check and on track. We have five wonderful boys: Tanner (10 1/2), Blake (9), Parker (7), Brody (5 1/2), and our youngest, Keegan (3). My family is the most important piece in my life...I'm happy to say they energize me every day.

Experience
I started my career as a teacher at Fort Leavenworth, teaching 2 years of 1st grade and a year of 5th grade. I then began my first principal job at a private Kindergarten through Eighth grade school in Atchison, Kansas. After two years there, I was fortunate to be hired as principal of Eisenhower Elementary at Fort Leavenworth. I spent the last 4 years as principal at Eisenhower. I have now moved over to the District Office and will serve as Deputy Superintendent for Fort Leavenworth School District, U.S.D. 207. I look forward to another successful year and the pursuit of excellence in education.
