Dear Parent:
It is my privilege, on behalf of the Board of Education of the Fort Leavenworth School District, to welcome you and your children to our school system. We hope that your stay here will be both pleasant and rewarding for you professionally, but of even greater importance, we hope that it will prove to be a time of intellectual growth and development for your children.
The Board of Education, the faculty, and the staff are dedicated to the aim of providing your children the best education possible within the means available to us. We shall all strive to attain that objective and hope that you will collaborate with us in that effort.
Early in the school year "Know Your School" nights will be held by each school, designed to give you an understanding of how the school operates. These programs will be staggered in order that parents with children in more than one school will have the opportunity to attend the meeting at each of their children's schools. We urge you to be with us.
The teachers, principals, superintendent, and members of the Board of Education are all available to assist you with any probems you may have. Additionally, and most important, we earnestly seek your understanding, suggestions, and support in our efforts to provide an outstanding educational program to the children of Fort Leavenworth. |
