Bio

My name is Charlie Stillian and I am the new Assistant Principal at Patton Junior High School.

After teaching social studies in the Leavenworth school district for 10 years at Warren Middle School, formerly East Middle School, I am proud to join the staff at Patton.  While in Leavenworth I coached various grades in football, basketball, wrestling, and track at LHS and Warren.

I grew up in Leavenworth and attended elementary, junior high, and high school here graduating in 1988.  I then moved on to Baker University for one and a half years before moving on to the University of Kansas where I graduated in

December 1994 with a BGS in Sociology.  I received my teaching certificate through Ottawa University-KC in May 1997 and my Masters of Arts in School Leadership from Baker University in May 2005.

I have a lovely wife Leslie who has been teaching in Leavenworth and is beginning her 13th year there, the last 7 as a 4th grade teacher at Howard Wilson.  Our daughter Caroline is beginning 3rd grade at Howard Wilson and our son Alex is starting pre-school at St. Paul Lutheran.  We live in Leavenworth and have two dogs as well.  For hobbies I like to read, exercise, work in the yard, and watch any game that the Jayhawks are involved in!

I am pleased to be at Patton.  As a lifelong resident of the area who grew up with friends from military families, I feel like I have an understanding of the unique situation of our military families and their dependents.  I believe that my experience in this area will be beneficial here at Patton.
